Day
01: ARRIVE DELHI
On arrival meeting & assistance at the airport
and transfer to prebooked hotel.
Day 02 : DELHI-
RISHIKESH
After breakfast, leave
for Rishikesh.
Arrive Rishikesh and checkin at your prebooked hotel.
In the afternoon, proceed for a guided tour of Rishikesh,
a town of temples, ghats and the Ganges.
Day
03 : RISHIKESH- KARAN PRAYAG
After breakfast, drive
to Karanprayag. Enroute visit three of the most important
confluences of the area. The entire drive is
along the Ganges upto Devprayag and then alongside
Alaknanda upto Karanprayag. Today camp a few kms after
Karanprayag outside a Marcha village on the banks
of Alaknanda river.
Day
04 : KARANPRAYAG- MANDAL
Early morning enjoy
the snow covered mountain view. After breakfast, drive
to Mandal, a small village full of orange tress. Camp
outside the village.
Day 05 : MANDAL-
TUNGNATH
After breakfast, leave
for Tungnath, the highest temple in India, dedicated
to Lord Shiva. The entire trek goes through thick
forests of Rhododendron & Oak. Chances of encountering
a Himalayan Black Bear, rare Musk Dear are very high
here. Arrive Tungnath and camp.
Day 06
: TUNGNATH- CHANDRASHILA- CHOPTA
Early morning visit
Tungnath temple. Afterwards, trek to Chandrashila
peak. Enjoy the view of great Himalayan peaks – Nanda
Devi, Duna giri, Nilkanth and Kedarnath peaks. Arrive
Chopta and camp.
Day 07 : CHOPTA-
DAGALBITTA- SARI
After breakfast, trek of 02 hours to Dagalbitta. After
lunch one hour drive to Sari village. Arrive Sari
and camp.
Day 08 : SARI-
DEORIATAL- OKHIMATH- GAURIKUND
After breakfast, trek to Deoriatal, one of the finest
high altitude Himalayan lakes. Trek down to Okhimath,
the winter sheet of Lord Kedarnath. After lunch, drive
to Gaurikund. Enroute visit Guptakashi – “invisible
Varanasi”. Arrive and camp a little before the town
on the banks of river Mandakini.
Day
09 : GAURIKIND- KEDARNATH
Trek to Kedarnath. Arrive Kedarnath and camp.
Day 10 : KEDARNATH-
TRIJUGINARAYAN
After breakfast, trek down to Gaurikund. After lunch
trek to Trijuginarayan – a legendary village where
Lord Shiva and Parvati were wedded. The place is also
famous for the magnificent temple of Lord Narayan.
Arrive Trijuginarayan and stay in a village Dharamsala
or camp outside the village.
Day 11 : TRIJUGINARAYAN-
MAGGUCHATTI
After breakfast, trek to Magguchatti. The ascent to
Magguchatti starts as we leave the camp. Arrive Magguchatti
and camp.
Day 12 : MAGGUCHATTI-
PANWALI KANTA
After breakfast leave for Panwali Kanta. One of the
finest bugyal “Alpine Meadow” in Garhwal Himalayas.
Apart from its thrilling landscape, it is especially
known for the spectacular display of flowering herbs.
Trek over the Kyonkhola Khat (3534m) and then along
the ridge to Panwali Kanta. This portion provides
a spectacular view of the central Himalayas from Kedarnath
to Trishul including Nanda Devi. Arrive Panwali Kanta
and camp.
Day 13
: PANWALI KANTA- GHUTTU
Descent steadily through oak and Rohododendron forest
to the little town Ghuttu where camp is pitched on
the banks of Bhilangana river.
Day 14 : GHUTTU-
TOLA CHATTI
Climb through Pine plantations to a ride above Bhairon
Chatti and descend to the meadow of Tola Chatti. Arrive
and camp.
Day 15 : TOLA CHATTI-
PANGRANA
Descend to the village of Buda-Kedar, through dense
plantation of Deodar. Then climb along a clear stream
to Pangrana meadows. Arrive Pangrana and camp.
Day 16 : PANGRANA-
MALA
Continue to ascend through rich oak forest to the
pass at Belak, where a beautiful view can be had of
Bunderpunch (6317m). Descend into the Bhagirathi river
valley and reach Gangotri road at Mala. Camp near
the river.
Day 17 : MALA- GANGOTRI
Drive from Mala to the hot springs of Gangnani for
a wonderful refreshing bath and proceed upto the beautiful
green of Bhagirathi valley. Arrive Gangotri and overnight
at tourist bungalow.
Day 18 : GANGOTRI
Explore the Gangotri valley. Witness the Gauri Kund,
the Gangotri temple and various sages who live in
this area lend a fascination charm to the valley.
Day 19 : GANGOTRI-
BHOJBASA
Follow the Bhaghirathi
river towards Gaumukh and camp at the pilgrims’s last
halting place.
Day
20 : BHOJBASA- GAUMUKH- BHOJBASA
Trek to Gaumukh, the
glacial soure of the river Ganges, set in a spectacular
amphitheatre of peaks. Return to Bhojbasa & overnight
at camp.
Day
21 : BHOJBASA-GANGOTRI
Trace your steps back
to Gangotri.
Day 22 : GANGOTRI-RISHIKESH
Drive down to Rishikesh.
Day
23 : RISHIKESH-DELHI
After breakfast, leave
for Delhi.
On arrival in Delhi, checkin at hotel. Afternoon,
half day combined city tour of old & new Delhi.
Day 24 :
DEPARTURE
Transfer to the international airport to connect your
home bound flight.
