of India
India
is a huge country with all the splendour
and culture to attract tourist from around
the world. India is located in South Asia.
The Great Himalayas separates it from Afganistan
and China. On the left side is the pakistan
and Nepal lies on the right of India. The
western area of India is a desert and the
North eastern region is the wettest in the
world. India is a peninsula flanked by Arabian
Sea on left, Bay of Bengal on the right
and Indan Ocean at bottom. these three merge
at India's southernmost point kanyakumari,
and offers a spectacular display of colours
of meeting of these water bodies.
Seasons
Of India
India has three major seasons summer, winter
and monsoon. The winter season (November
to February) is pleasant throughout the
country. Regions of North India remains
moderately to extremely cold during winters.
So it is the best time for tourists to visit
India.

The
summer season (April to June) are hot in
most parts of the country. Tourists
can visits principal Hill Stations of India
during this season. The popular Hill Stations
are Shimla, Mussoorie, Nainital, Kullu and
the Kashmir Valley (North India), Darjeeling
and Shillong (North East), Ooty, Yearcad
and Kodaikanal (South India), Panchmari,
Mount Abu and Khandala (central and western
India) provide cool respite.
Travel Kits
Clothes:
While travelling in summers you should wear
light colour full bodied cotton clothes
as dry and hot air locally called as 'loo'
may cause sun stroke. In winters carry light
woolens except for Himalayan region where
you have to carry stock of woolens as temperatures
are below 0 deg C. You should carry an umbrella
or raincoat if you are travelling in monsoons.
Cosmetics:
Sunscream is a must if you are
travelling in India. Do keep light moisturiser
and an antiseptic soap with you. Prickly
Heat powder is essential if you are travelling
in summer. A powerful deodorant is also
a must.
Equipment:
No special equipment except if
you are on a trekking or mountaineering
tour. Do keep good cameras and binoculars
with yourself as there are breathtaking
natural serenes all over the country.
Food: You can keep handy
food items like boiled eggs, potato chips
while travelling. Always drink Mineral water
while travelling as water borne diseases
are common in India. Local brand of Mineral
Water- Bisleri, Kinley, Aquafina, Ganga
etc.
