Jammu
& Kashmir
|
Jammu & Kashmir is a trekker's
paradise. However, due to the recent political turmoil
it is advisable to check the situation before travelling
to Jammu & Kashmir. The main tourist attractions of
Jammu & Kashmir are Amarnath, Gulmarg, Jammu, Leh, Pahalgam,
and Srinagar. Amarnath has the famous limestone cave
which is sacred to the Hindus because of the lingam
, which is a symbol of Lord Shiva. A trek to the cave
on a full moon night is a very gratifying experience.
