Day
01 : Arrive Calcutta
On arrival meet and assist at the airport and
transfer to prebooked hotel. Overnight at the
hotel.
Day 02 : Calcutta-Guwahati
(By Air) , Guwahati-Kaziranga
(By road)
Morning, transfer to the airport to board flight
for Guwahati
at 1000 hrs. Arrive Guwahati
at 1110 hrs and transfer to Kaziranga National
Park. On arrival check in at prebooked hotel/resort.
In the evening witness tribal or Bihu dance by
the log fire under bamboo grove along with dinner.
Overnight at the hotel/resort
Day 03 : Kaziranga National
Park
Wildlife viewing and nature walk in the park.
Late afternoon, tribal village visit, Assamese
village visit to see the silk worm rearing. Overnight
at the hotel/resort
Day 04 : Kaziranga National
Park
Early morning, visit the park on elephants (subject
to availability). Late afternon, visit to tea
garden and tea factory. Overnight at the hotel/resort
Day 05 : Kaziranga-Guwahati
(By road) Guwahati-Bagdogra (By air) Ba gdogra-Kalimpong
(By road)
Morning drive to Guwahati
to connect flight for Bagdogra at 1235 hrs. Arrive
Bagdogra at 1325 hrs and drive to Kalimpong.
Kalimpong has a number of houses which speak of
the town's heritage and gracious living in earlier
decades of this century when it was the main trading
post between Tibet and British India. Today it
is a flourishing floriculture center as the climate
has proved to be extremely conducive for this
activity. Overnight at Hotel Himalaya or similar.
Day 06 : Kalimpong
Morning, at lesiure. Afternoon, city tour of Kalimpong.
Overnight at the hotel.
Day 07 : Kalimpng-Siliguri-Calcutta
Morning, free. Afternoon, drive to Siliguri to
board overnight train for Calcutta
at 2000 hrs. Overnight in the train.
Day 08 : Arrive Calcutta
On arrival meet and assist at the railway station
at transfer to prebooked hotel. In the afternoon,
half day city tour of Calcutta.
Overnight at the hotel.
Day 09 : Calcutta-Sunderbans
National Park
Morning, leave for Calcutta
to Basant Port. Arrive the port and take a cruise
to Sajnekhali by a dedicated motorised launch.
Overnight in the launch. Dinner and overnight
on the boat.
Day 10 : Sunderbans National
Park
Full day cruise through the mangrove creeks for
wildlife viewing and birding. Lunch on the boat.
Anchor at Sajnekhali by sunset. Slide show (optional)
on wildlife in Mangrove Interpretation centre
in the evening with tea and snacks. Dinner and
overnight on the boat.
Day 11 : Sunderbans-Calcutta
Morning visit to Rangabeloa Tagore Society to
see the rural development project. Return to Basanti
by the afternoon. Transfer to Calcutta
by car. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 12 : Transfer to the international airport
to board flight back home.
