Itinerary
Day 01 : Arrive Delhi
On arrival meet and assist at the airport and transfer to prebooked hotel. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 02 : Delhi
Morning, free for birding at the Okhla barrage. Afternoon, city tour of New Delhi. Visit the India Gate, Qutab Minar & Humayun's Tomb. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 03 : Delhi-Chandigarh
Morning, leave for Chandigarh. Arrive Chandigarh and check in at prebooked hotel. In the afternoon, visit Pinjore Gardens. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 04 : Chandigarh-Narkanda
Morning, leave for Narkanda, stopping enroute for birdwatching. Arrive Narkanda and check in at prebooked hotel. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 05 : Narkanda-Sangla
Morning, drive to Sangla (2900 mts) through the breathtaking gorges of the Himalayas. Everning bird walk at Sangla. Overnight in tents.
Day 06 : Sangla
Drive leisurely to Chitkul stopping for birdwatching enroute. Chitkul is the last inhabited village surrounded by green fields and high mountain peaks. The quaint little houses, temples, gompas and the people of Baspa valley conjure up a perfect image of Shangri-La. Return to Sangla in the evening. Overnight in tents.
Day 07 : Sangla
Take walks around Sangla and Fort Kamru for birdwatching. Overnight in tents
Day 08 : Sangla-Sarahan
Morning, drive to Sarahan - a beautiful village surrounded by apple Orchards and dominated by Srikhand Mahadev Peak (5155 m) which resembles a Shivling and is famous for Bhimkali Temple. Rest of the day free for birdwatching. Overnight at the hotel
Day 09 : Sarahan-Goshaini
Morning, leave for Goshaini via Jalori Pass and Shoja. Shoja, a small village at an altitude of over 8000 feet. The access to Shoja winds through thick forests, alpine trees which provide an untouched habitat. Arrive here in time for lunch and later take a walk on the forest logging road into pristine pheasant country. The pheasants seen here are Monal, Kaleej and Koklas. Continue to Goshani. Arrive Goshaini and check in prebooked hotel. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 10 : Goshaini.
Morning, take a walk toward the Great Himalayan National for birdwatching. Afternoon, free. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 11 : Goshaini
Day visit to Bahu and Jobhi for birdwatching. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 12 : Goshaini-Bhunter Airport (Kullu)
Morning, drive to Kullu to take a flight for Delhi at 1110 hrs. Arrive Delhi at 1230 hrs and transfer to prebooked hotel. Overnight at the hotel
Day 13 : Transfer to the international airport to board flight back home.
